DENVER, April 2, 2013 – Virtela, the world’s largest independent managed network, security and cloud services company, today announced a four-year extension of its managed services contract with Lam Research Corp. (NASDAQ:LRCX), a major supplier of innovative semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and services to the worldwide semiconductor industry.
Under the terms of the agreement, Virtela will work with IBM to provide managed WAN/LAN, application acceleration, security and cloud network services to Lam.
Key to Virtela being selected for this contract extension was its prior history at Lam Research Corp., delivering high performance enterprise networking solutions across the company’s U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific locations.
