Internet expansion in the Netherlands guaranteed
TelecityGroup, a provider of premium carrier-neutral data centres, and NL-ix, one of the world’s leading Internet Exchanges, today signed a contract to expand NL-ix’s capacity in TelecityGroup’s existing data centres and to its new data centre, AMS 5, which is currently under construction. In response to growing demand for connections and capacity, TelecityGroup is currently building a new 9MW, 9000 m2 data centre in Amsterdam Zuidoost. NL-ix will be offering its services through AMS 5 from its opening.
Internet use has grown explosively in recent years and this trend is set to continue. The partnership allows both companies to meet the continued growth of the digital economy in the Netherlands.
