DUBLIN, 1st February 2016 –Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that it has been selected by Aqua Comms, an Irish based provider of scalable, subsea capacity-based network solutions, to provide data centre services in Ireland.
Aqua Comms, whose head office is based in Dublin announced in April of last year that they would be bringing Ireland’s first direct transatlantic fibre optic cable from New York to London via Dublin, delivering world-class data transfer speeds across the Atlantic with a latency speed of 53.9 milliseconds.
The appointment of Interxion by Aqua Comms as a data centre provider will offer the highly secure and the unparalleled connectivity options required to meet clients’ needs. When it came to deployment of services, Interxion were able to facilitate Aqua Comms timelines in relation to their Irish based and multinational clients. Through working with Aqua Comms there is a significant opportunity for referrals for Interxion as more and more companies take advantage of this reliable subsea cable.
