Huawei Partners with Carriers to Offer Agile Networking Services and Capabilities for Enterprise Customers

[Barcelona, Spain, Feb 27, 2014]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, showcased its agile network solution at Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) today. As Huawei’s latest enterprise networking architecture, the agile network solution is the first network in the industry to apply Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technology . Aimed to provide enterprise customers with agile networking service and capability, since the launch of the agile network solution in 2013, Huawei has been exploring business opportunities with carrier partners, on the reselling of enterprise networking products to enterprise customers from various industries, including education service providers and healthcare service providers, and others.

Huawei’s Agile Network is focused on accommodating the actual service requirements of industry customers, providing networking capabilities that can be quickly and flexibly deployed and adapted to business demands. Huawei’s Agile Network also offers fast and stable networks for enterprises, allowing users to enjoy a consistent network experience via any device, anywhere, anytime. This enhances operational efficiency through improved efficiency and convenience between employees, while adopting a centralized security protection system that covers the entire network with advanced security capabilities. In addition, Huawei’s agile network features unified management and configuration with integrated wired and wireless networks as well as visible service quality display, significantly simplifying network operation and maintenance (O&M) processes.

Based on a deep understanding of customers’ needs, Huawei continues to design and innovate its agile network solution, to cater for each customer’s unique business needs. For instance, in the education industry, Huawei’s agile network solution has been helping an increasing number of colleges and universities to construct SDN-oriented virtualized cloud networks, creating knowledge sharing platforms for teaching and researching purposes, creating more efficient real-time online interactions between teachers and students.

In addition, Huawei’s agile network integrates wired and wireless networks, which reduce the resources needed for operation and maintenance compared to traditional networks, allowing more resources to invest in teaching and innovation.

In the hospitality industry, Huawei has partnered with carrier to build a One Cable per Room Network Solution for hotels with an agile network architecture. The solution addresses the problem of complex cable layout in hotels by integrating multiple networks into a central layout, helping hotels reduce infrastructure investment and time costs resulted from repeated construction, enabling hotels to focus on offering quality hospitality services.

“Over the past year, an increasing number of carriers and industry customers have been showing interest and increased demand in products and solutions provided by Huawei’s agile network solution,” said by Mr. Liu Shaowei, the president of Huawei Enterprise Networking product line.”Dedicated to customer-centric innovation, Huawei will continue to provide industry-leading customer-centric products and solutions. Huawei will also continue to partner with carrier to design and produce more innovative products that are customized towards customers’ business needs, helping customers achieve business success with more agile networks.”
