Integra Increases Ethernet over Copper Access More Than 25 Percent

Infrastructure Investment Extends EoC Reach to More than 460,000 Businesses

Portland, Ore. – February 4, 2014 – Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, has expanded its Ethernet over Copper (EoC) network footprint to an incremental 43 fiber-fed Local Serving Offices (LSOs). The increase brings Integra’s high-bandwidth EoC access to a total of 187 on-network LSOs, reaching more than 460,000 businesses in over 140,000 commercial buildings.

This most recent EoC addition reflects how Integra’s strategic investments are aligned with demand from businesses, carriers and government offices for high-bandwidth, Ethernet-powered network access to support wide area networks, data center colocations and managed and hosted services. The expansion is in existing Integra metro markets in California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Minnesota, and Colorado, providing up to 100 Mbps of secure Ethernet bandwidth.

“Businesses today are looking for always-on access to dedicated, symmetrical, high-bandwidth services that scale with their needs, at a price point that meets their budget,” said Joseph Harding, Integra’s chief marketing officer. “With this investment, Integra now offers greater access to Ethernet Services than anyone else in our network footprint. We’re proud to offer Integra’s complete portfolio of Ethernet services and our commitment to superior customer service to more businesses than ever before.”

With Integra’s EoC based services, enterprise and small-to-medium sized businesses as well as government agencies can benefit from up to 100 Mbps of fully symmetrical data transport for connectivity to cloud services and enterprise networks, delivered with industry leading service-level agreements. Easily scalable to meet shifting network capacity requirements, Integra EoC connectivity offers a reliable and simple-to-manage resource for a range of business-critical applications, with dependable performance, quality of service and class of service tailored to customer requirements.

In addition to data transport, customers of Integra’s EoC networks gain access to the company’s entire portfolio of Ethernet-powered services, including IP/MPLS VPN SolutionsHosted Voice Services and other managed and cloud services. Integra’s Ethernet services are Carrier Ethernet Certified by the Metro Ethernet Forum.

Integra’s expanded EoC footprint is among a series of strategic investments the company is making in 2014 to deepen its network reach, including the recent extension of its long-haul fiber network from Salt Lake City to Sacramento.
