Frontier Communications begins Regulatory Approval Process to Acquire AT&T Wireline, Broadband and Video Operations in Connecticut

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– On January 31, 2014, Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR, news, filings) filed applications with the Federal Communications Commission and the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority as part of its agreement with AT&T, Inc., announced December 17, 2013, to acquire AT&T’s local wireline, broadband and video operations in Connecticut. Today, Frontier will file an application with the U.S. Department of Justice, pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, seeking approval of its application to acquire these operations.
