John Cho joins as Chief Information Officer, Lisa Youngers as Head of Public Policy and External Affairs, and Lynn Smullen as President of Edge. John Cho brings 25 years of mission-focused technology leadership to his role as CIO. He will drive the company’s technology strategy, product roadmaps, and the implementation of automation, AI, and cybersecurity across the enterprise. Before joining EdgeConneX, Cho served as CTO for Tria Federal and held senior technology leadership roles at Forterra, Peraton, Perspecta, DXC Technology, and HPE. His extensive background in driving knowledge-driven solutions across energy, infrastructure, and robotics will be instrumental in advancing the company’s technological edge.
As the new Head of Public Policy and External Affairs, Lisa Youngers will leverage over two decades of experience in the technology, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors. A trusted regulatory compliance expert, she has advised on data center issues, M&A, artificial intelligence, and energy. Previously, Youngers served as International General Counsel for Tata Communications, President and CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association, CEO of Nextlink Wireless Inc., and held leadership roles at XO Communications, including Vice President of Federal Regulatory Affairs. Her expertise will be vital in guiding EdgeConneX through global and federal regulatory environments, as well as state and local affairs.
Lynn Smullen steps into the role of President of Edge, bringing more than 25 years of leadership in the ICT industry. She will be responsible for leading the company’s Inference and Edge data center strategy and execution. Smullen most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Oracle Cloud and previously held leadership positions at Verizon, Lumen/CenturyLink, and Savvis. Recognized as one of Capacity Media’s Top 20 Women to Watch, her experience will be key to accelerating EdgeConneX growth at the network edge.
