Master connects the capitals of the Southeast region of Brazil with Padtec’s DWDM solution

The provider’s objective is to offer a unique connectivity experience to the users of its services, in addition to driving its next stage of growth.

Respond with quality and efficiency to the increase in new services, content and applications created – and consumed – by residential and corporate users. With this objective, Master, a telecommunications service provider in Minas Gerais, invested in the construction of an extensive DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) network to connect Belo Horizonte to the capitals of the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In total, there are more than 1,500 kilometers of lit optical networks.

The provider, which is headquartered in Divinópolis, already operates in more than 60 cities in Minas Gerais and São Paulo. With the expansion, the intention is to boost its next stage of growth, which focuses on expanding its geographic presence and service offering. “In this sense, Padtec is an important ally for the evolution of our optical networks”, says Diego Aquino, Master’s Engineering Director. “In addition to the technical quality of its equipment, the installation, operation and maintenance services offered by the company are a differential that favors the growth of our network infrastructure in a sustainable way”, he highlights.

To light the provider’s new routes, Padtec supplied 100 and 200 Gb/s transponders (per optical channel), hybrid amplifiers – the most compact on the market – and route protection systems. “The goal this year is to further expand the capacity of our transmission networks, using solutions capable of preparing them to meet the demands of the present and the future. This is the case of Padtec’s 800 Gb/s line of transponders, for example”, emphasizes Diego.

The partnership between the companies also includes the provision of services, by Padtec, for the management of the operation of Master’s communication networks – which includes technical support and monitoring, through its Network Operations Center (NOC). “By offering a complete solution for telecommunications services, which ranges from system planning to the installation, operation and maintenance of networks, we add value to our delivery and provide more security and comfort to our customers”, emphasizes Argemiro Sousa, Padtec’s Business Director. To provide field support to its customers, the company currently has 40 points of presence distributed throughout Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
