Colt is expanding its IQ Network footprint to the Oracle Cloud Stockholm Region to continue to serve the growing cloud connectivity requirements of enterprise and government organisations.
Stockholm, Sweden – December 16, 2021 – Colt Technology Services, a leading provider of agile, high bandwidth connectivity solutions and a member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it is expanding the Colt IQ Network footprint and offering connectivity services to the Oracle Cloud Stockholm Region via Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect. Oracle customers can harness the power of Oracle Cloud locally, including Oracle Autonomous Database, to unlock innovation and drive business growth.
This expansion allows customers to take advantage of on-demand, high-speed, secure connectivity from their sites to the Oracle Cloud. With Colt’s two Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) in Copenhagen and Stockholm, over 670 connected business sites and 45 connected data centres in the region, enterprises will be able to take control of their cloud migrations in the region. Colt’s offering, together with OCI FastConnect, ensures an easy, flexible, and economical way for enterprises in Sweden’s industrial and financial heart to connect to Oracle Cloud.
Colt’s relationship with Oracle began three years ago and allows enterprises to take advantage of the 100Gbps optimised Colt IQ Network and On Demand capabilities to connect to Oracle Cloud, supporting an optimal, end-to-end cloud migration and adoption experience with OCI FastConnect.
Colt takes a data centre-agnostic approach to cloud connectivity, and this latest announcement sees the organisation continue to invest in the points of presence (PoPs) of its cloud partners across the world. Colt can offer high bandwidth and on-demand cloud connectivity to any data centre on its global network.
With OCI, customers benefit from improved security, consistent high performance, simple, predictable pricing, and the tools and expertise needed to bring enterprise workloads to the cloud quickly and efficiently.
Jaya Deshmukh, Colt’s Executive Vice President (EVP) of Strategy and Transformation, said: “I’m thrilled to be expanding our relationship with Oracle with this extension into Stockholm, one of Europe’s key growth cities.
