KDDI America, Inc. Announces Managed Cisco SD-WAN ∼SD-WAN, the most suitable solution in the Cloud era, will be provided through collaborating with Cisco∼

Building on KDDI Corporation’s Global partnership with Cisco, KDDIA is adding Cisco SD-WAN to its managed services offerings

NEW YORK – (February 24, 2021) – KDDI America, Inc. (KDDIA), a subsidiary of “KDDI Corporation”, a Fortune Global 500 company, announced it is offering a new managed SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) service based on Cisco SD-WAN powered by Viptela as an addition to its SD-WAN portfolio. This Solution will be offered in the Americas market by KDDIA through Cisco’s global Managed Services Partner (MSP) Program.

In April 2020, KDDIA announced its Microsoft Azure Cloud Services offerings, and now with the Cisco SD-WAN solution, the company is offering the perfect pairing for its customers’ cloud and connectivity needs. KDDIA will continue to expand its offerings and support all customers who are experiencing an increase in cloud application demand; thereby, maximizing the value to its customers to help them reach their digital transformation goals.

“Our mission has always been to support our customers across the globe to achieve all of their ICT needs, and this has evolved in recent years to support these same customers in achieving their total digital transformation,” said Masatoshi Nobuhara, President and CEO, KDDI America. "As an IT company, KDDIA must always adapt to our customer's ever-changing and growing needs. By expanding our collaboration with Cisco, KDDIA is well poised to provide enhanced solutions for our customers.”

Today, enterprise networks must be rearchitected to adapt to the increases in Cloud Services usage, and distributed locations. The SD-WAN Solution provided by KDDIA can enable an enterprise network to be more resilient and adaptable.

In deploying this Cisco SD-WAN managed solution, customers will be able to use their existing WAN network circuits regardless if it is a dedicated MPLS service or an internet connection, and will have visibility and flexible control over the network, along with optimization of traffic routes. By selecting the most suitable option based on location size and functional requirements, a deployment can be easily made to meet any business need.

Through its collaboration with Cisco, KDDIA is now able to leverage Cisco’s technology innovations, enablement resources, and global operational systems. Coupled with KDDIA’s other products and services, it will allow KDDIA to provide greater support to their customers so they can build and maintain the most suitable infrastructure for their ever-changing, growing, and evolving business needs.

The importance of *being connected* is becoming increasingly important in the current distributed workforce environment. As an ICT Telecommunication Infrastructure provider with our corporate mission to connect organizations and businesses across the world, KDDIA will continue to support its customers and help them realize their digital transformation, and with this new SD-WAN offering, we are evolving and growing our ability to do so.
