MP1900A BERT and Network Master™ Pro MT1000A Honored by 2020 Lightwave Innovation Reviews

Signal Quality Analyzer-R and All-in-one Portable Tester Receive Scores of 4.5 and 4.0, Respectively, in 2020 Lightwave Innovation Reviews

Allen, TX – March 12, 2020 – Anritsu Company announces that its Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A and Network Master™ Pro MT1000A were recognized as among the best in the industry by the judges of the 2020 Lightwave Innovation Reviews. The Lightwave Innovation Reviews recognizes excellence in products, services and technology applicable to optical networks. This year’s judging panel included executives from network operators, technology vendors, and industry research and analysis firms.

Each entry is reviewed by at least three judges, who rate the entry on a scale of 1 to 5 based on its innovation and potential contribution to customer success. Entries that receive an average score of at least 3.5 achieve Honoree status. Anritsu’s MP1900A received the Honoree Score of 4.5 in the Lab/Production Test Equipment category and the Network Master Pro MT1000A received a 4.0 in the Field Test Equipment classification.

“I congratulate Anritsu on its scores of 4.5 and 4.0,” said Stephen Hardy, Lightwave editorial director and program manager of the 2020 Lightwave Innovation Reviews. “This program recognizes and rewards the top products and services available to the optical communications industry. That the MP1900A and Network Master Pro MT1000A achieved Honoree status is a testament to Anritsu’s innovation.”

MP1900A BERT

The Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A is a multichannel BER measuring instrument with the functions and performance required for designing and testing next-generation network interfaces. Its all-in-one design makes it ideal for early stage R&D evaluations of 200/400/800G Ethernet, and high-speed-bus interfaces. With a built-in PAM4 Error Detector (ED), the BERT is the only instrument to achieve error-free measurement of PAM4 signals at 116 Gbit/s with industry-best operation bit rates and high Rx sensitivity performance. Combined with a built-in PAM4 Pattern Generator that supports high-accuracy BER measurements of PAM4 signals, the BERT accurately evaluates bit error rates of 400 GbE/800 GbE communications equipment and devices.

Network Master Pro MT1000A

The compact, battery-powered and easy-to-use MT1000A provides everything to install and maintain communication networks in a rugged, lightweight field portable package. It is a multi-function tester that can be configured with an array of transport testing functions and OTDR modules. Collecting and interpreting data is simplified with an easy-to-use GUI and clear summaries, allowing users of any skill level to operate the instrument.

To meet 5G needs, the MT1000A supports ITU-T Precision Time Protocol (PTP) telecom profile G.8275.1 and .2, for phase/time synchronization evaluation with high resolution accuracy for time error measurements using a Rubidium Clock Oscillator. It can also have GPS time data to support complementary high-accuracy latency measurements.
