Payson and Somerton School Districts Add To The Growing List of Arizona Networks

Lenexa, KS (August 21, 2018) — WANRack is seeing rapid success across the nation, but more specifically in the state of Arizona. To date, WANRack’s executive management team has sold and built over 165 fiber wide area networks (WANs) across the nation. The recent completion of both Payson and Somerton school districts deepens their presence across all parts of Arizona.

“Our team had to overcome construction obstacles we had never experienced before. However, both builds were finished ahead of schedule and are currently up and running smoothly,” said Sean Brown, Vice President of Construction for WANRack. “The success of these two new networks builds on our Arizona foundation and brings us closer to a statewide network down the road.”

The new networks are uniquely designed, allowing the districts to take control of their bandwidth and traffic. Both districts are now receiving faster speeds and better connections compared to their old networks.

“Our new fiber installation allows us more granular control of the inter-campus network connectivity,” said Victoria Andrews, Director of IT for Payson School District.  “We are pleased with the WANRack solution and anticipate the reliability to be much greater than our previous installation. This solution also provides a four times performance improvement at a significant cost reduction as compared to our previous provider.”

WANRack has a design model that lets the company offer lit or dark fiber solutions that deliver superior bandwidth, scalability and security as compared to the traditional cable or telephone company. WANRack provides a better solution because they can guarantee what most others cannot. As a result, customers get exactly what they paid for versus an oversubscribed network.

“The success WANRack has seen in Arizona I believe is simply due to the unique value proposition they offer,” said Luis Tenorio, Network Administrator for Somerton School District. “It is hard to say no when given an option that allows me to finally stop sharing and settling when it comes to my network. When WANRack says they are the last network you will ever need guaranteed, they truly do mean it.”

WANRack provides high-bandwidth, fiber-based communications networks and related services to schools throughout the United States. Service offerings include E-Rate compliant lit fiber, dark fiber, and special construction solutions. Headquartered in Lenexa, Kan., WANRack’s executive management team has been providing Fiber Optic WANs to school districts since 2005.
