Company to provide data transmission services under Networx contract
WASHINGTON, Jan. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE:CTL, news, filings) recently won four fair opportunity award decisions from the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide network and data transmission services. The task orders, which run through May 2017, were awarded via the General Services Administration’s Networx Enterprise contract and are valued at up to $10 million.
CenturyLink will provide Ethernet private line and Internet Protocol services to support advanced data services for global Defense Information Systems Network users in the continental United States. The task orders support these network services in four regions: Colorado Springs, Colo.; Arlington-Norfolk, Va.; Huntsville, Ala.; and Omaha, Neb.
