Stay Connected with Family and Friends Following Hurricane Patricia

Sprint’s thoughts are with those in Mexico who are impacted by Hurricane Patricia and we know how important it is for our customers to stay connected with friends and loved ones during a natural disaster.

In an effort to provide some comfort to the families who need it, we’re reminding our customers with friends and family in Mexico that they can stay in touch with free calls and texts to the country throughSprint Open World – without the worry of roaming changes or excessive fees. Plus, with this plan families who need to travel to Mexico after the storm will also have free unlimited calls and texts, and 1GB of high-speed data.

Sprint is also waiving fees for international long distance calls and text messages to Mexico from October 23, 2015 and November 4, 2015. The free calls are available to all postpaid customers of Sprint.

“During times like this, it’s more important than ever for our customers to be able to check on their loved ones as often as possible,” said Roger Solé, Sprint’s senior vice president for the Hispanic Market and senior vice president for Innovation. “No matter the circumstance, we want to make it easy and inexpensive for people to stay in touch with free calls and texts through Sprint Open World.”

We hope plans like Sprint Open World will help meet the communication needs of individuals and families that have been impacted by this storm.
