Rob Koester Promoted to Vice President, Consumer Product Marketing
MATTOON, Ill. – June 9, 2015 – Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ:CNSL, news, filings) announces today the promotions of Ryan Whitlock to vice president of human resources and Rob Koester to vice president of consumer product marketing.
“Ryan has led our HR functions and his team with integrity through two integrations and labor relations and negotiations of our collective bargaining agreements in several states,” commented Bob Udell, president and chief executive officer of Consolidated Communications. “Ryan, who also serves on my executive team, has a proven leadership track record and a deep understanding of our industry,” added Udell.
Whitlock joined the company in 1995 and has held numerous roles at CCI during his career gaining additional responsibilities and experience. Most recently he served as Sr. Director of Human Resources heading up all employment, benefits and HR functions. Prior to this, Whitlock served in field operations and service roles.
Whitlock, active in the greater Mattoon, Ill area, currently serves on the Local Workforce Investment Area 23 Board and has served on the boards of the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce and East Central Illinois Development Corporation.Koester will be responsible for the company’s consumer product strategy and new product acquisition and development. He joined the company in 1999 and previously served in product management roles with increasing product development responsibilities.

Koester is active in the Conroe, Texas area currently serving on the Leadership Montgomery County Board as its chairman and on the executive board of the Conroe / Lake Conroe Texas Chamber of Commerce as vice chair of governmental affairs and community relations. Koester also holds a seat on the board of the Montgomery County Texas United Way and is a past director of the College Park Village Association.
