[Suzhou, China, December 11, 2014]: Huawei today announced that its 802.11ac access points have outshone industry mainstream vendors’ offerings in terms of single- and multi-client throughput, signal coverage capability, and anti co-channel interference capabilities in product performance tests and verifications by The Tolly Group, a the leading provider of third-party IT testing and validation services.
The Tolly Group’s expert team tested the performance of Huawei’s AP7030DE and AP5030DN access points versus the Cisco Aironet 3720i and the Aruba AP-225. When compared to the two other vendors, Huawei’s APs performed at a higher level in the multi-client access test when the number of clients added to the test increased. Additionally, the results of the long-distance signal coverage and anti co-channel interference tests showed that Huawei APs displayed a much lower drop rate when placed in a co-channel interface environment.
On the results, Kevin Tolly, founder of The Tolly Group, said, “We were impressed by the test results which showed that the Huawei AP7030DE and AP5030DN far exceeded the industry’s average standard in single-client throughput. Overall, Huawei’s APs demonstrated exceptional performance in the multi-client throughput, signal coverage and anti co-channel interference tests.”
“Huawei’s next-generation 802.11ac APs adopt a dual-core architecture design, which significantly improves the performance of both software and hardware, including RF modules, antennas, and air interfaces,” said Fu Jie, Director of WLAN Products, Huawei. “As a result, Huawei APs’ anti co-channel interference capability surpasses that of similar products from other vendors, providing customers with high-quality WiFi coverage even in extremely harsh environments.”
Huawei APs are built upon a dual-core central processing unit (CPU) with independent control plane and forwarding plane architecture with advanced technologies including Huawei’s High Density Boost and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) based protection. The Huawei AP7030DE, which supports smart antennas, was recognized as the industry’s highest-performing 802.11ac AP in the test.
