[London, UK, September 10, 2014]: Huawei will host its first Global Professional Services Forum under the theme “Enabling Business and Operational Excellence”, in London, UK on September 15 to 17. The event will explore industry trends, innovative strategies and successful business practices in the digital economy era.
The three-day event is the first professional services industry forum held by Huawei, and aims to set a high standard in the global professional services arena through promoting dialogue among the industry. At the forum, Huawei will welcome representatives from telecommunication operators, industry organizations, Internet companies, analyst firms and vendors from around the world, including confirmed attendees such as TM Forum, International Data Corporation (IDC), McKinsey, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tencent, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Tele Danmark Communications (TDC), EE and China Mobile.
With the rapid development of the ICT industry, the traditional telecom business model is facing significant challenges: the cross technology development makes network evolution more difficult; complex heterogeneous network architecture tests the limits of quality planning; massive growth in traffic impacts the network and service quality; user behavior changes adds complexity to how the customer experience is managed; and competing businesses exacerbate the challenges facing operators. At the forum, industry leaders will discuss these challenges and other key topics including the realization of open digital telecommunications operations, system integration in Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and further enhancing the mobile broadband experience through innovative practices in customer experience management and managed services.
“This inaugural Huawei event will bring together operators and professional services experts and facilitate discussions on future strategies, business opportunities and innovative new services. I look forward to participants sharing and capturing invaluable insights and trends from the telecommunications industry that we can all benefit from,” said Dr. Howard Liang, Senior Vice President, President of Global Technology Service, Huawei, who will open the forum with a keynote address.
