Demo Day is June 12 for the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator powered by Techstars

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse to welcome community and industry leaders to event at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), May 22, 2014 – June 12 is Demo Day. After three months of intense learning, creating, mentoring and collaborating, the 10 companies participating in the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator powered by Techstars will gather at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City to deliver their Demo Day presentations.

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and Techstars CEO David Cohen will deliver opening remarks, followed by presentations by each company. Successful entrepreneurs from around the country, along with regional health care and community leaders, are expected to attend. The event is free and open to the public. Register at this link.

The track record for companies completing a Techstars accelerator program is unmatched in the startup world. Since the first Techstars program in 2007, 80 percent of all Techstars teams are still active, while roughly another 10 percent have been acquired.

The Sprint Accelerator program, in conjunction with Techstars, began on March 11 when 10 mobile health-related startup teams from across the country and Australia arrived to build and strengthen their businesses. The three-month, immersive, mentor-driven program for startups is located in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. Teams participating in the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator powered by Techstars are developing solutions that encompass hardware, software platforms, transformative services, big data and mobile applications.
