By establishing this Ethernet interconnect, Lightower will extend its switched and dedicated regional Ethernet reach beyond the United States and into 86 countries covered by PCCW Global’s Ethernet network with more than 100 Ethernet PoPs deployed on its leading-edge international MPLS backbone.
Connecting major carrier hotels within New York and Chicago, the new E-NNIs enhance PCCW Global’s Ethernet capabilities in the United States and will bridge the East Coast and Midwest regions, thus accelerating PCCW Global’s plans to further expand its Ethernet service offerings into the United States. PCCW Global is continuously expanding its services into new markets and developing its business into far-flung locations worldwide, with carrier MPLS and Ethernet interconnects reaching more than 3,000 destinations in 130 countries.
This collaboration also connects enterprises from developed metro markets in the United States to any developed or emerging market across the globe.
