[Shenzhen, China, October 18, 2013]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications solutions provider, today announced the launch of MBB Insider Online, a cloud-based mobile platform for evaluating mobile broadband (MBB) app network friendliness. MBB Insider Online was developed by mLAB, Huawei’s wireless network innovation lab.
MBB Insider Online allows app developers and other third-party MBB ecosystem companies to take unique advantage of evaluation tools that accurately determine the impact their services will have in terms of consumption of traffic, signaling, device power and delivered user experience when installed on a smart device connected to a live mobile network.
These developers can then better fully utilize network resources to considerably enhance their delivered service experience. MBB Insider Online also provides app optimization recommendations to improve delivered user experience and optimize utilization of network resources.
The launch of the platform was also accompanied by the launch of a related developer community for working app developers. The developer community is designed for developers to learn more about the mobile network technologies that ultimately underpin the performance and effectiveness of the mobile services they are providing.
The community provides a series of open APIs (Application Program Interface) for network control and management capabilities like Quality of Service (QoS) management and network status information. Sample code databases are also available for developers to take advantage of on the community.
Huawei mLAB’s mission is inspiring innovation in the MBB ecosystem at all levels. By producing timely insight reports on the latest trends in user behavior, devices and app development, mLAB works to build lasting solutions that deliver the best service experience and lasting industry chain value for mobile markets everywhere.
