Alpheus Communications Connects Network to CyrusOne Data Centers

New data centers become part of Alpheus’ flexible cloud-infrastructure offerings

HOUSTON–()–Alpheus Communications, a leading provider of Texas metro-regional fiber and networking solutions, today announced multiple connections to CyrusOne (:CONE, news) data centers in Texas. Alpheus fiber network services are now available in three CyrusOne data centers – two in Houston and one in Dallas. The network expansion provides additional data center diversity on Alpheus’ high-quality fiber network, creating more cloud-infrastructure options for Alpheus customers.

Alpheus’ connectivity to CyrusOne data centers enhances its infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offering to businesses looking to implement their cloud strategy. Expanding Alpheus’ data-center footprint complements its MPLS IP VPN and high-bandwidth fiber services, which many customers already use for their cloud environments. In addition, Alpheus offers Ethernet LAN (ELAN) service, which is a secured, Layer 2 managed network solution that businesses with multiple locations can use to seamlessly connect their facilities for voice, data and video applications.
