LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Windstream Hosted Solutions, one of the nation’s premier providers of enterprise-class managed hosting solutions, held a special event last week to celebrate the grand opening of its enterprise-class data center in McLean, Va.
The celebration—held on-site at the 65,000-square-foot facility—was attended by 225 people, including customers, prospects, and Windstream executives and employees, and featured tours of the data center.
The McLean data center was designed to meet the growing demand for cloud-based and dedicated managed services. With 45,000 square feet of raised floor space, the facility is capable of meeting the most stringent, around-the-clock requirements of today’s businesses.
“We are supremely proud of the state-of-the-art data centers we have opened and are building across the country,” said Chris Nicolini, Windstream senior vice president of Data Center Operations. “The McLean celebration was an opportunity for us to showcase the facility to customers and prospective customers, demonstrating Windstream’s ongoing commitment to supporting their cloud computing and managed hosting solutions needs.”
Designed with 2N power distribution and parallel multi-module uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), the McLean data center ensures that companies have access to their servers, applications, and data at all times. Whether a business chooses colocation, dedicated server, managed services, cloud computing or disaster recovery solutions, Windstream’s data centers deliver the highest level of security, safety, redundancy, reliability, scalability, and technology.
Additionally, Windstream Hosted Solutions’ robust cloud computing services dramatically improve the efficiency and availability of IT resources and applications in organizations, allowing companies to rapidly deploy capacity without capital investments so they can reshape their environment on demand.
