MCLEAN, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GTT (OTCQB: GTLT), the premiere cloud network provider to clients in over 80 countries worldwide, announced today that it has acquired IDC Global, a privately held company in Chicago.
IDC Global owns and operates two data co-location facilities and its own metro optical fiber network in Chicago. The two data facilities fiber connects to 350 East Cermak, which is the largest multi-story data center property in the world. IDC Global provides cloud networking, co-location, and managed cloud services to nearly 100 clients with a focus on providing multi-location enterprises with a complete portfolio of cloud infrastructure services.
“As we rapidly expand our selling efforts to global enterprise clients, we have an excellent opportunity to expand sales of cloud network services to the existing IDC Global customer base,” states Rick Calder, President and Chief Executive Officer of GTT. “And adding the IDC Global assets to our business further increases the scale and capabilities of our most widely interconnected global Ethernet and IP backbone.”
