Birch Payment Plus Program Begins

Custom-tailored program designed for new startup and credit-challenged business customers!

Atlanta, Ga. – Feb. 4, 2013 – Today, Birch Communications, a leading IP-based telecommunications and managed services provider to small- and medium-sized businesses, announced that it has launched a new program, called Birch Payment Plus, designed exclusively to address the needs of new startup companies, or credit-challenged business customers.

“We understand how challenging it is to start a new business or how easily unexpected difficulties can overwhelm even the most financially responsible businesses,” said Vincent M. Oddo, Birch President and CEO. “Our new program, Birch Payment Plus, helps new businesses that have yet to establish a credit history as well as businesses with past credit problems obtain the required communications and managed services they need and at the same time it will help them start building their credit history.”

Birch Payment Plus is a custom-tailored program offered to prospective customers who, following a credit check, do not meet the normal Birch credit requirements. Whether it is because a customer has a new business with no “track record” yet established, or due to past payment history, the new Birch Payment Plus program should meet their needs. Business customers may establish service with Birch following a small upfront payment, and then an automated monthly payment process is established using a credit card. After six months of good payment history the account achieves regular account status with Birch. In addition, there is no minimum credit score required for customers to enroll in the Birch Payment Plus program.

“Birch Payment Plus will allow Birch to say “Yes” to more small and medium-sized business customers than ever before,” said Christopher Ramsey, Birch senior vice president of sales and marketing. “In 2013, when many people are starting new businesses and others are feeling a ‘credit crunch,’ it is great to add some flexibility into the Birch process to help those in need of a break. It is a good feeling to be part of a program that helps business customers build a positive credit history.”
