CHARLOTTE, NC – August 14, 2012 – Achelea Global Networks, Inc. announces it has begun the engineering and construction of its fiber rings and routes in North Carolina as well as in Georgia and California. These routes will have global reach capabilities and support the latest in technologies. The initial phase of this state-of-the-art, low-latency fiber optic network build will include fiber rings around Charlotte, NC; Georgia and California and construction routes that include Charlotte to Kings Mountain to Asheville, NC; and a diversity route around Kings Mountain, NC; and Charlotte to Raleigh/Durham. Additional routes will be announced soon.
Achelea Global Networks has strategically partnered with companies such as TurnkeyPM that have many years of Outside Plant construction experience. Turnkey Project Management’s mission is to provide unparalleled service in communications infrastructure planning, deployment, and maintenance. Collectively Achelea works in partnership with each customer, as well as the local community, in designing and implementing communications infrastructure solutions that best meet its customers’ needs while minimizing the impact of construction on the local area.
The services offered by this network will include, but not be limited to, the sale of dark fiber, a variety of broadband lit services, Network Maintenance & Monitoring, NOC services, Colocation, Help Desk/Technical Support and Professional Services that include EF&I. It is anticipated that as Achelea’s network evolves it will service a minimum of 1 million customers nationally with a global reach. Customers of the network will include carriers, large and small businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, governmental agencies, public safety entities and residential customers.
Achelea Global Networks designed and positioned this network to solve many of the bandwidth problems that these regions are currently facing today. Although Achelea Global Networks is lighting fiber rings around major cities, their target areas also include areas that are considered to be rural, underserved, and un-served.
Several segments and routes of this network are expected to be complete during 4th quarter 2012 and 1st quarter of 2013. However, as segments and routes of this network are completed they will be made available to the public.
