Automated Infrastructure Management Delivers Business Value, Reduces TCO and Enhances QoS
New York, NY – NTT America, a global IT infrastructure services provider and wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announced enhancements to the company’s portfolio of managed services with the introduction of IntelOps. IntelOps delivers automated remote monitoring of NTT America’s Managed Private Networks as well as third-party networks and communication devices. IntelOps is now available across both NTT America’s Managed Private Networks and the networks of providers that NTT America manages on behalf of enterprise clients.
IntelOps leverages automated expert systems to proactively monitor and resolve incidents across a client’s global IT infrastructure, no matter how complex or heterogeneous, creating maximum operational efficiency and significant cost savings for the client. Common network problems are proactively detected and remediated autonomically, in minutes, without human intervention. Outcomes are consistent, predictable, and free from human error. When a problem cannot be resolved without human intervention, the expert system automatically escalates the problem to the appropriate NTT America engineer. Within complex enterprise IT environments, correctly routed tickets decrease the mean time to repair (MTTR), support Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and help ensure 24X7X365 network uptime.
NTT America’s IntelOps Managed Service:
Follows ITIL® best practices – NTT America’s IntelOps managed service aligns with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library v3 (ITIL-v3) framework for service delivery and service support, and is tiered accordingly. The enterprise client determines the level of incident management they are comfortable with outsourcing, and NTT America’s experienced teams of engineers work with the client to manage the environment according to the client’s specifications.
Creates business value – NTT America’s IntelOps managed service relieves talented enterprise engineers from the enormous burden of daily Level 1 and Level 2 network monitoring and management. This provides them with more time to innovate, deliver high-value services to their customers, embark on research and development projects, or lead strategic initiatives that confer a competitive advantage for their business.
Delivers faster response – NTT America’s IntelOps managed service supports enterprise requirements for the highest levels of network performance by proactively detecting, escalating, and resolving incidents more quickly than in the traditional manual approach. The service includes an industry-leading SLA for response time that incorporates a financial penalty. With IntelOps, NTT America guarantees service availability 100% of the time, outage notification within 2 minutes of detection, and on-time escalation 100% of the time.
Reduces Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) – Businesses reduce TCO and achieve predictable costs year-over-year by leveraging NTT America’s IntelOps managed service. The new service enables companies to improve cash flow by converting capital expenditures on updating management systems into operating expenditures on management services. In turn, operating expenditures are reduced by eliminating human error and improving response time – both of which are made possible by intelligent automation. Additionally, companies are able to reduce technical training, and domestic and offshore labor costs for day-to-day network management through automation of business processes.
Increases visibility with new portal – While teams of senior engineers at the global IntelOps Network Operations Center (NOC) monitor and manage the enterprise client’s network infrastructure, the client has complete visibility into their IT environment via a single online management portal. The IntelOps’ portal gives businesses a transparent, real-time view into the health of their IT environment, including reports measuring SLAs against objectives and other critical network utilization and performance reports.
According to Gartner, “By 2015, tools and automation will eliminate 25% of labor hours associated with IT services”* and demonstrates the urgency facing providers that have not yet fully embraced this increasingly labor-light approach to service delivery.1
“A leading global IT infrastructure services provider, NTT America maintains a strong commitment to the development of network infrastructure and innovative network management solutions with services like IntelOps,” said Michael DeVito, Executive Vice President, Global Solutions, NTT America. “As part of the largest telecommunications company in the world, NTT America understands our Fortune 1000 clients’ ambition for innovation and leverages NTT Group’s significant investments in research and development to keep our clients competitive every step of the way.”
