Telx names Ken Kajikawa and Tim Byrnes as General Managers

Digital Media Industry Veteran Brings Unique Strategic Insight to Telx While IT Industry Alliance Leader Joins to Score New Strategic Partnerships

New York, NY (May 15, 2012)Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud computing enablement services and data center solutions, today announced two new additions to its marketing team, Ken Kajikawa has joined the company as General Manager for Content, Media and Entertainment (CME) and Tim Byrnes has joined as General Manager for Strategic Alliances and Partnerships.

Kajikawa brings more than 20 years of marketing, sales and business development experience with CME companies to this new role, focusing on maximizing market penetration. Kajikawa will drive all facets of Telx’s CME business by providing unique industry insight, strategic direction, and utilizing the company’s extensive capabilities to deliver innovative products and solutions to Telx clients.

Kajikawa joins Telx from Intel, where he served as a member of Intel’s Ultrabook Embedded Security Team, responsible for marketing and business development with leading social media, videogame and other digital media providers. Prior to Intel, Ken worked at Equinix, and Hewlett-Packard in roles that supported CME companies as well. Ken started his career as a videogame producer with Acclaim Entertainment, a past leading video game publisher, and Accolade with sports and comic book games.

Byrnes brings 20 years of business development experience in the IT industry with a focus on the telecommunications/networking segments. Tim joins Telx from CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) where he was responsible for the association’s strategic relationships and developed and managed member communities in the Cloud/SaaS, UC and Heathcare IT spaces.

Byrnes past roles include industry leaders such as UUNET, Verizon Business and Savvis where he was responsible for global strategic alliance, partnership and channel programs across the full spectrum of the IT landscape including global network & software vendors, system integrators and cloud start-ups. His deep institutional knowledge will enable new approaches to strategic alliances and partnership programs at Telx. These partnerships will add additional service and solution capabilities while extending Telx’s reach in our core markets as well.
