360Exchange Extends Telecommunications Network Reach Without Capital Investment or Term Commitments
May 8, 2012, Fairfax, VA – DBR360, the leading Network as a Service (NaaS) provider for enterprises and carriers, announced today that Global Capacity has joined the 360Exchange, gaining immediate access to 360Exchange’s national footprint and extending the reach of Global Capacity’s One Marketplace Access Exchange.
The 360Exchange is connected with a protected network architecture supporting SONET, SDH and Ethernet technologies. Initial deployments include strategically located points of presence (POPs) in New York, Los Angeles and Ashburn. By joining the 360Exchange, Global Capacity gains access to extensive TDM and Ethernet point-to-point connectivity options at all the POPs on the 360Exchange platform – without the need for additional capital investment or capacity build-out. Global Capacity will benefit from substantial savings and flexibility on point-to-point network procurement with 360Exchange’s wholesale rates, rapid provisioning and no term or volume commitments.
“This announcement builds upon and strengthens the long-standing strategic relationship between the two companies,” explains David Baule, CEO of DBR360. “We are very pleased to have Global Capacity participate in the 360Exchange ecosystem. Global Capacity offers increased last mile options for 360Exchange members and a rapid way for its customers to connect to other 360Exchange participants.”
“Global Capacity joined the 360Exchange to expand its One Marketplace Access Exchange capabilities to deliver enhanced long-haul connectivity options to our customers,” said Patrick Shutt, CEO of Global Capacity. “Our One Marketplace Access Exchange provides automated access solutions, and when combined with the 360Exchange, customers can now access end-to-end network solutions benefiting from the strength of DBR360s well connected long-haul network.”
DBR360 and Global Capacity are exploring additional ways to leverage Global Capacity’s automated access solutions to bring increased value to the 360Exchange ecosystem.
