Westford, Mass., October 12, 2011 Sonus Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:SONS, news, filings), a market leader in next-generation IP-based network solutions , today announced that the company’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Bill Scudder, has won the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council’s CIO of the Year Award. The award was given at the Council’s 14th annual Awards Gala, which was held October 6 at Boston’s Seaport Hotel.

With more than 20 years of business and IT experience, Mr. Scudder is responsible for extending Sonus’ operational excellence and driving technological innovation to meet the current and future needs of the company. He is also transforming how Sonus communicates and collaborates internally using the company’s own solutions while effectively controlling its IT investments.

Close to 500 senior executives filled the waterfront hotel’s ballroom for the event, which showcased the depth and breadth of the state’s vibrant technology ecosystem with winners from a wide range of company sizes and technologies.
