NTT America to Provide Insight on Internet Evolution and Video Demand at Digital Hollywood Fall

NTT America Vice President to discuss overall Internet usage as industry demand continues from cache and storage to real-time and over-the-top (OTT) content

WHAT:

Michael Wheeler, vice president of the Global IP Network business unit at NTT America, will participate in a panel workshop at Digital Hollywood Fall titled, “Video Anytime Anywhere: Video Across Platforms – Television, Internet and Mobile – Understanding the Value Proposition.” Along with several other industry experts, Wheeler will offer thoughts on the relationship of the evolution of video to demand by consumers for constant and immediate access regardless of viewing device. Topics within the discussion will include technology infrastructure and how video content providers can remain competitive given the rapid pace of video technology and market innovation.

Digital Hollywood is a semi-annual trade conference on the entertainment industry and related technology. Since it debuted in 1990, it is among the leading trade conferences in its field with more than 15,000 top executives in the film, television, music, home video, cable, telecommunications and computer industries attending the various events each year.

WHO:

Wheeler brings more than 15 years of sales management and operational experience in the Internet and data communications industry to NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Tier-1 global IP network services provider NTT Communications.

In his current role as Vice President of the Global IP Network (GIN) business unit, he is responsible for all financial, engineering, operational and customer relationship activities for the business unit. Previously, Wheeler led the sales and business development organization for the GIN business unit, including direct sales, account management, indirect channel sales, sales engineering, marketing, product management and business development activities.
