Portland, Ore. – Oct. 5, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a fiber-based telecommunications company serving both carrier and business customers, has named Kevin O’Hara as executive chairman effective immediately.
O’Hara, whose prior experience includes serving as the president and chief operating officer of Level 3 Communications Inc., has been a member of the board of Integra Telecom since 2009 and has served as chairman since March 2011. O’Hara also serves on the boards of Elemental Technologies and RigNet (NASDAQ: RNET.)
As executive chairman, O’Hara replaces CEO Tom Casey, who resigned to become CEO of Tronox, Inc. where he previously served as chairman of the board of directors. Jim Huesgen, who joined Integra in 2000 and has served as president since 2002 will remain as Integra’s president and will report directly to O’Hara.
