367 Percent Revenue Growth Propels BTI Systems among Fastest Growing Technology Companies

According to Latest Rankings by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 of Canadian Companies and the North American Technology Fast 500

Ottawa – October 19, 2011

BTI Systems, the networking company that creates high-capacity application-aware service infrastructures for the metro, was named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM for its 367 percent increase in revenue from 2006 to 2010. The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada based on percentage of revenue growth over five years.

BTI Systems earned additional recognition with a dual ranking on the North American Technology Fast 500TM, Deloitte’s ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.

This recognition is a result of BTI Systems’ ability to focus and execute on its strategy to bring the right technology to market for its customers, including leading telecom service providers, cable companies, mobile and datacenter operators around the globe. Over the last two years, the company has grown into a powerhouse in the Ottawa technology community while adding to its engineering and support staff locally and abroad, including expansion throughout Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America.

“It’s an exciting time for BTI Systems,” said Steven Waszak, president and CEO of BTI Systems. “Our Ottawa base of operations is strong and we are expanding our reach around the globe as we work to deliver long-term value to our customers. This recognition is a credit to the commitment our employees have made to harboring trust among our expanding customer base, working with enthusiasm as stewards of our success. We are honored to be recognized among the leading organizations in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM.”

“Canadian technology companies have demonstrated some very impressive growth numbers over the past year, amid the challenges of an uncertain global economic recovery,” said Richard Lee, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte. “BTI Systems is an example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position the company for further growth and success in the years to come.”

For 14 years, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM program has tracked the successful growth of Canadian-grown global leaders. Now Canada’s pre-eminent technology award program, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM augments the broader Deloitte North American Technology Fast 500 initiative, with winners automatically eligible for this elite ranking.
