Net Insight Wins CSI Award for Best HDTV Technology Project

For the Second Consecutive Year Net Insight is Recognized for its Successful Nimbra Platform

AMSTERDAM, (IBC) – Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, last night was announced as the winner for Best HDTV Technology project for its customer Teracom AB, Sweden’s national provider of radio and broadcast, to create the world’s first all-IP DVB-T2 network.

“We are proud to win the CSI Award for the second consecutive year. Net Insight was chosen by Teracom to deliver a 100 percent IP QoS transport solution for their new DVB-T2 network. Together with Teracom we have performed a very fast and on time delivery of the new network enabling HD-services making Teracom more competitive in their market place.” says Per Lindgren, VP Business Development and co-founder of Net Insight.

Net Insight’s Nimbra Platform was used to support the national broadcaster’s ability to transport HD ready content, by upgrading its Digital Terrestrial TV infrastructure, established in 1999, into the new DVB-T2 standard.  Since it was deployed in November 2010, Teracom has already delivered the new all-IP DVB-T2 network to more than 70 percent of households and aims to have it rolled-out to all Swedish households by the 2012 Olympics.

With multi-service functionality, the Nimbra-based platform is a highly flexible and cost-efficient path for Teracom to be competitive in delivering both HD services, and additional value-added services such as content contribution and other capacity services.

Net Insight has an exceptional track record in well-proven, reliable and scalable solutions for Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) networks and maintains a leading position in the market place as a trusted partner for more than 25 DTT operators from all regions over the world.  Its Nimbra solution has helped many customers become world-class providers of content and expand their existing business.
