Current Analysis Ranks AT&T Cloud Services Highly in Latest Report

The network is the cloud. AT&T*has embedded cloud computing capabilities directly into its network, allowing it to manage, distribute, and deliver them to enterprise customers as a total solution straight down to nearly any device. Now, industry analyst firm Current Analysis is recognizing certain AT&T cloud capabilities in a recent report.

In the ‘AT&T Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)’ product assessment1 Current Analysis pointed to AT&T’s proven track record and acknowledged the following strengths:

  • Integrated network security, service level attainment, and a track record of serving corporate and government clients and enterprise hosting clients.
  • AT&T’s flexible and scalable suite of on-demand cloud offers a cost-saving alternative to many conventional hosting services.
  • Security capabilities that are embedded and integrated into the core of its network, with physical and network authentication, firewall management, intrusion detection and protection, denial of service mitigation, and encryption capabilities.
  • Its robust portfolio of mobile apps, voice, and data services integrate with cloud capabilities and can be delivered as a total cloud solution.

“AT&T can position itself as a very credible enterprise-class alternative to more generic solutions that lack the integrated security protections, service level attainment and track record to reassure corporate and government clients,” wrote Amy Larsen DeCarlo, Principal Analyst, Current Analysis.

A recent report, “Cloud Computing – The IT Solution for the 21st Century” commissioned by the Carbon Disclosure Project and sponsored by AT&T, shows that in addition to the wider business benefits, cloud computing has the potential to help large US companies realize $12.3 billion in annual energy savings and 85.7 million metric tons of CO2 savings annually by 2020.
