FRANKFURT 11 August 2011 – INTERXION HOLDING NV, (NYSE:INXN, news), a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that Crytek GmbH has chosen Interxion’s Frankfurt data centre to host its online Media platforms.
Crytek, one of the world’s leading independent development studios for interactive entertainment, has chosen Interxion’s Frankfurt facility to house its company web presence, including its corporate website, community website mycrysis.com, its new community “modding” portal crymod.com and an internal test platform. It is also planning to roll out its mycryengine.com portal, which is exclusively dedicated to CryENGINE licensees.
The online gaming market continues to grow unabated with a recent Gartner reports stating that during 2010, consumers spent $67 billion on gaming and they predict that by 2015, spend will have increased to $112 billion, with online games, such as popular social network games like Farmville and Cityville, showing the biggest growth over the next five years.
