AboveNet Names Nick Ridolfi Senior Vice President of Sales

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., August 1, 2011 – AboveNet, Inc. (NYSE:ABVT, news, filings), a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions, today announced the appointment of Nick Ridolfi as senior vice president of Sales. In his new position, Mr. Ridolfi will report to AboveNet Chief Operating Officer Rajiv Datta

“The addition of Nick to the AboveNet management team strengthens significantly our ability to provide industry leading high bandwidth connectivity solutions and the excellent customer experience that the market has come to expect from our company,” Datta said.

As senior vice president of Sales, Mr. Ridolfi will lead AboveNet’s U.S.-based sales teams. He will play a key role in continuing to deliver the high bandwidth, low latency connectivity solutions to AboveNet’s enterprise and carrier customers.

Mr. Ridolfi, who holds a BA degree in Economics from Brooklyn College in New York, brings more than 30 years of sales and business development experience in the telecommunications industry to this role.

Prior to joining AboveNet, Mr. Ridolfi held senior sales positions at MCI and Juniper Networks. Most recently he held a senior management position at Premiere Global Services (PGi) where he focused on delivering virtual collaboration solutions to the Fortune 500 client base.

Mr. Ridolfi will be based in AboveNet’s New York City office.
