Zayo Named One of Denver’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Industry demand and multiple acquisitions helped fuel Zayo’s rapid growth

LOUISVILLE, Colo.– July 18, 2011 – Zayo, a provider of bandwidth infrastructure solutions and carrier-neutral colocation facilities, has been named the runner up as  Denver area’s fastest-growing private companies by the Denver Business Journal. The Fastest-Growing Private Companies list ranks businesses by percentage of revenue growth over the past three fiscal years, and categorizes them into five flights based on gross revenue ranges.  Zayo is categorized in Flight 1, which includes companies with total revenue in excess of $49.3 million.  Zayo recorded annual revenue growth in excess of 45 percent for calendar year 2009 – 2010, and 189% percent revenue growth since 2007.

Since its founding in 2007, Zayocompleted 16 acquisitions, grown to $320 million in annualized revenue, and employs nearly 400 employees with operations in 31 states plus Washington D.C.. Industry demand has steadily increased primarily due to new technology adoption such as data intensive wireless applications, video communications and cloud computing.  Zayo’s commitment to long-term growth coupled with a disciplined investment approach has led to quarter over quarter margin expansion along with top line growth.  Annualized EBITDA has grown by 94% to $78.1 million from fiscal year end 2009 to 2010.
