Donna Grothjan, Frank Vitagliano and Steve Pataky Honored for Continued Channel Leadership, Advocacy and Commitment to Partner Enablement
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 17, 2011 — Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR, news, filings) today announced three of its leading executives have been recognized by Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine as 2011 Channel Chiefs. Donna Grothjan, vice president global channel strategy and operations; Frank Vitagliano, senior vice president, Americas partners; and Steve Pataky, vice president worldwide channel development were each honored for their proven leadership, channel advocacy and commitment to partner enablement at Juniper Networks.
This is the second year in a row Steve Pataky has been named to CRN Channel Chiefs and the fifth year in a row for Frank Vitagliano since joining Juniper Networks. Donna Grothjan, one of CRN’s Power 100 executives, is making her debut on the 2011 CRNChannel Chiefs. The prestigious list recognizes executives in North America who work closely with the value added reseller and managed service provider community to defend, promote and execute effective partner programs and strategies.
In 2010, Juniper Networks maintained its focus on core partner enablement, investing in key initiatives, programs and resources that enhanced its channel sales, marketing and technical support efforts. Among them were a variety of new and innovative products and training resources, as well as strategic technology acquisitions that have enabled Juniper Networks channel partners to break into new markets and sell more robust solutions into the enterprise.
As a result of Juniper Networks’ continued channel loyalty and investments, the company’s top-performing U.S. and Canadian channel partners posted double-digit, year-over-year sales growth in 2010. Juniper Networks was also voted the top enterprise networking vendor by CRN readers when it came to financial rewards and earned the overall win in the 2010 CRN Champs survey for best financial rewards across all 97 vendors included in the solution provider survey.
“The leadership, expertise and focus on channel partnership that Donna, Frank and Steve bring to our team everyday is remarkable and continues to be recognized and rewarded by Juniper Partners in the Americas and worldwide, as well as industry influencers and media,” says Emilio Umeoka, senior vice president, worldwide channels, Juniper Networks. “Among our top priorities in 2011 is to ensure we’re offering our partners the flexibility of engaging with Juniper in whatever way best suits their business model and target markets. In addition, we intend to invest more heavily in our co-marketing efforts. This way of doing business clearly sets Juniper apart from competitors and allows our team to get involved, and stay involved, in the success of our partners.”
CRN Channel Chiefs are chosen by Everything Channel’s editorial team based on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.
“Being named a Channel Chief is one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry. This year’s Channel Chiefs offer tremendous insight into the who’s who of the channel,” said Kelley Damore, vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel. “Top channel executives consistently ensure that the channel’s voice is heard when strategic decisions are being made and continually nurture mutually profitable relationships. We applaud this year’s Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies.”
