Segovia Releases Next Generation of Global Network Management System

Herndon, VA, October 1, 2010 – Segovia, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inmarsat plc and a leading provider of secure global IP communications, announced today that it has released the Segovia Global Management System (SGMS) 2.0, a web-based application providing users with consolidated network data, key performance metrics and detailed analytics reports.

The latest release introduces a new user interface, an interactive global map and displays data using a collection of tables, charts and graphs. With secure access available on-demand, SGMS 2.0 sets a new standard in network transparency by giving users the real, actionable information they need to make critical data-driven decisions.

SGMS 2.0 presents high level, summarized data using four major classifications, which include Network Availability, Network Utilization, Incidents, and Asset Management Records. Each one provides an independent perspective of the overall network and allows the user to retrieve details directly through the drill-down feature. Alternate details can be accessed through Custom Reports, which filters specific classifications of data using custom parameters.

In addition to network data, SGMS 2.0 provides metrics to support Service Level Agreements (SLA), manage Performance Work Statements (PWS) and track network assets. It also allows Segovia’s PMP® certified and security-cleared Program Management professionals to continuously monitor and analyze usage data and traffic.

The foundation for SGMS is source data culled from Segovia enterprise systems. Customer data is seamlessly integrated, and access is provided through a secure, private gateway. This provides SGMS customers with a completely custom and fully automated data consolidation and reporting system, which serves as a central repository for capturing, storing, tracking, and trending network data.

Support is provided through an ISO 9001:2008-registered Quality Management System (QMS) and Lifecycle Management Services, which include Segovia’s U.S.-based Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) and Technical Assistance Center (TAC), offering help desk services and technical support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
