Deloitte & Touche Recognizes FiberLight’s Consistent Marketplace Growth
Atlanta, GA — 10/20/2010
FiberLight, LLC, one of the nation’s leading providers of mission critical, high performance fiber optic networks, today announced that it ranked 207 on Technology Fast 500, Deloitte’s ranking of 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences
and clean technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2005–2009.
“FiberLight grew by 480 percent in the five-year period ending December 2009, which is a remarkable rate of growth for any company,” said Kevin B. Coyne, FiberLight’s President and COO. “We attribute our success to our ability to serve our customers with unique, mission critical solutions leveraging our extensive fiber optic assets. This focus allows us to maintain a strong financial focus while keeping our debt ratio low, our EBITDA high and our profit-loss margin consistent. Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the hard work of a great group of employees and the ongoing support of our partners and clients as well as the support and fiscal guidance of our primary investor, Thermo Capital Partners.”
“FiberLight and the other 2010 Technology Fast 500 winners forged ahead in a challenging economic environment to realize exceptional growth,” said Phil Asmundson, vice chairman and Deloitte’s U.S. technology, media and telecommunications leader. “Deloitte commends FiberLight for this impressive accomplishment.”
FiberLight was previously named a 2007 Rising Star in Deloitte & Touche USA LLP’s Technology Fast 50 program for Georgia. The Rising Star award is a special designation for fast-growth companies that have been in business a minimum of three years but less than five and is a part of the Georgia Technology Fast 50 program, which ranks the 50 fastest growing technology media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies headquartered in Georgia. FiberLight was also named this year as one of the top growing privately held companies in Georgia by Georgia Trend magazine and as one of the top growing private companies nationally by Inc. magazine.
“FiberLIght has proved itself to be one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America, and we are proud to honor them as one of the 2010 Technology Fast 500,” said Mark Jensen, Managing Partner, Venture Capital Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Overall, Technology Fast 500 award winners for 2010 had revenue growth ranging from 146 percent to 164,079 percent from 2005 to 2009, with an average growth of 2,361 percent.
