Savvis Appoints New Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan

SINGAPORE, Sept. 27, 2010 – Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, today announced that Mark Smith has been named managing director and regional leader for Asia Pacific and Japan.

In this leadership role, Smith will be responsible for driving growth strategy, strengthening client relationships and launching Savvis’ signature enterprise-class cloud computing service, Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Centre (VPDC), in the region.

An IT industry veteran, Smith has more than 20 years of senior leadership and executive experience in managing and creating high-performance teams in Asia. Smith joined Savvis from Thomson Reuters in Japan, where he served as president. His previous experience also includes roles with Bridge Information Systems in Singapore, where he was responsible for building a new global business in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and SunGard in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for expanding sales and services growth across Asia.
