360networks Deploys Private Line Circuits for CDS Telecom

Agreement provides CDS with reliable, deep western U.S. connectivity to support mission-critical government project

SEATTLE, WA – August 3, 2010 -- 360networks, a facilities-based full service wholesale provider of VoIP, Private Line Transport, IP and Local Access solutions, today announced deployment of private line circuits for CDS Telecom.  With this deployment, CDS, a provider of project management, design and engineering services for mission-critical DoD, federal government and commercial telecommunications projects, leverages 360networks’ deep western connectivity to support a government project in the western United States.

“The end users who rely upon our circuits are responsible for safeguarding our nation, and network security and reliability are crucial to those missions,” said CDS vice president and general manager Mark Whitney. “360networks not only got us precisely where we needed to go, something other providers were not able to do, but they did so using a robust network that is necessary to support our ultra-important end users.”

“As a wholesaler, 360networks is able to focus on providing the most advanced network possible,” said Rick Coma, 360networks senior vice president. “With our state-of-the-art network behind them, CDS can focus its efforts on supporting its customers’ mission-critical projects.”

360networks offers a full suite of Private Line Transport services in a variety of bandwidth and interface options. Low-bandwidth solutions include Single Point of Interconnection (SPI) and DSx Point-to-Point; the SONET Point-to-Point service adds capacity and diversity for higher-layer protocol network; and high-capacity solutions include Wavelength Point-to-Point and GigE Point-to-Point.  360networks plans to launch a Layer 2 Ethernet service later this year.
