INTEGRA TELECOM WILL GIVE ONE SPOKANE NON-PROFIT FREE INTERNET SERVICE FOR A YEAR

Local Telecom Provider Launches Community Connection Campaign; Asks Area Businesses to Nominate a Non-Profit to Win

SPOKANE, Wash., June 17, 2010 – Integra Telecom Inc., a voice and Internet services provider for business, will give one Spokane County, Wash. non-profit free, high-speed T1 Internet service for a year through its Community Connection campaign. The campaign celebrates Integra’s recent expansion in the Spokane market and encourages area businesses to help out their favorite non-profits by nominating them to win free Internet service. Online and onsite nominations are being accepted today, June 17 through July 16.

“Community service is a pillar of Integra Telecom’s business model and we are excited to introduce ourselves to the Inland Northwest through our Community Connection campaign,” said Dana Richardson, branch manager for Integra Telecom. “Non-profit organizations have been hard hit by the economic downturn. Our hope is that through Community Connection we are able provide at least a bit of relief to a local organization so that their resources can be concentrated on serving the local community.”

Community Connection is part of Integra Telecom’s Community Matters program which supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the lives of people in the communities where Integra serves. Qualifying non-profits must be a registered 501 C3 or C4 with an established office within Integra Telecom’s Spokane County service area. Additionally, the organization’s mission must serve at least one of the following Integra Telecom Community Matters focus areas:

  • Youth – health, education and the well being of the youth in the community.
  • Health – wellness, safety and the eradication of disease.
  • Community – improving the stability and quality of life in the community, particularly in regard to benefiting low-to-moderate income individuals.

Nomination and Selection Process
Spokane County businesses may enter a non-profit of choice into the campaign by completing and submitting the nomination form available at www.integratelecom.com/SpokaneCommunityConnection. Nominations will also be accepted in person at Integra’s new Spokane office, located at: 201 N. River Drive, or via e-mail at SpokaneCommunityConnection@IntegraTelecom.com.

The top 10 organizations to receive the most nominations from the regional business community will be entered into a random drawing, from which the winning non-profit will be selected. The drawing will be held on July 27 at Integra Telecom’s ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.
