(MIAMI, FL) – May 20, 2010 – Miami Children’s Hospital announced the appointment of Carmen Perez, President of FPL FiberNet, to its Board of Directors.
Ms. Perez – who is serving a four‐year term – is joining a diverse and representative group of community leaders on the hospital’s Board of Directors. She and her Board colleagues donate their time and talent
to assist the hospital in carrying out its mission of providing hope through advanced care for children and families.
“Miami Children’s Hospital is a fundamental part of our community that focuses on providing children with the best care available. I am honored to now serve on the Board and help in carrying out the hospital’s vision for the children,” said Carmen Perez.
Ms. Perez, who has served as FPL FiberNet’s president since 2007, is involved in a number of community and professional organizations. In addition to her position on the Miami Children’s Hospital Board of
Directors, she is on the board of and serves as finance committee chair for the United Way; a member of the InternetCoast Board of Directors; a trustee with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; and on the School of Business Advisory Board for Florida International University.
