4000 square metres of new space to be built to meet ongoing demand for premium carrier neutral data centre capacity
TelecityGroup, the industry leading provider of premium network independent data centres, has announced plans to build approximately 4000sqm of data centre capacity with 6 megawatts (MW) of customer power in Frankfurt. The additional data floors will meet growing customer demand as Frankfurt becomes increasingly important as a European and German hub for internet and network intensive business requirements.
Following an expansion of 1.5MW, completed in the autumn last year, TelecityGroup continues to experience increasing demand for its data centre facilities from both service providers and enterprises, in particular, from web-centric organisations requiring reliable and highly connected environments to house their infrastructure, Frankfurt has emerged as an important European hub for data centre services.

They both conform to international standards ISO 27001:2005 for information security management to ensure the highest levels of security and business continuity, and ISO 9001:2008 for quality management. The data centres also provide customers with multiple connectivity options.
Additionally TelecityGroup has adopted the EU’s Code of Conduct for Data Centres; it was the first pan European network independent data centre provider to adopt the code across its complete portfolio by the end of 2009. As a result, the Code’s best practices to drive energy-efficiency are being applied in both Frankfurt data centres.
