IPC selected as the ‘best and most innovative’ VoIP provider

Financial-i Leaders in Innovation Award 2009 awarded IPC for its state-of-the-art European VoIP network and flagship trading turret systems

London, UK, 08 March, 2010 – IPC Systems, a leading provider of indispensable trading communications solutions to the world’s top financial services firms, announced it has won the Financial-i Leaders in Innovation Award for best and most innovative use of Voice Over IP (VoIP). The prestigious award was announced as part of Financial-i’s Q4 print publication.

IPC delivered several key innovations last year including upgrading its European VoIP network to connect nine key European financial centres to its network in the US, allowing faster response times and an advanced system failover. IPC continued leading the way with its flagship trading turret, the IQ/MAX, used by more than 2,400 trading floors and exchanges worldwide as well as MAXaccess 1000, the state-of-the-art soft turret. Strategic upgrades of its Alliance platform, Enhanced Voice Service (EVS) and Electronic Connectivity Service (ECS) were also core to its ability to provide global trading firms with a consolidated solution for voice and electronic trading communications. These solutions provided the ability to reduce infrastructure costs, increase resiliency and simplify business continuity.

“We are delighted to win this prestigious award as it recognises our investment in our European VoIP network, helping us deliver innovative technology and services that are valued by our customers all over the world,” said Kevin Acott, European managing director at IPC. “As the very first company to introduce VoIP to the trading floor in 2001, we continue to be the leader in the market with unique products and services that deliver the very best IP-based communications solutions for our customers.”

The Financial-i Leaders in Innovation Awards are designed to recognise companies that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to innovation, reducing risk to their businesses, responding to their marketplace more quickly and engaging more directly with their customers. These awards celebrate the winner’s continual drive to innovate which clearly differentiates them from their competitors. IPC was assessed and shortlisted by Financial-i’s team of journalists and independent analysts for the VoIP category. Those selected to the list were then passed to an advisory panel which chose IPC as the most innovative VoIP provider based on the opinions and feedback from market analysts, practitioners and other industry experts.

IPC was declared to be the best and most innovative VoIP provider as the award judges analysed the following criteria over the past 12 months:

• Upgrades made to existing solutions

• Functionality enhancements

• Depth and breadth of functionality

• Customer service segments

• Ease with which customers can implement and interface with solutions

• Ways solutions help companies solve common business issues
