Davilex secures online bookkeeping with Devault and TelecityGroup

Davilex houses online financial administration services in the TelecityGroup’s PCI DSS certified data centre

Amsterdam / Houten / Culemborg, 7 January 2010: Devault, an innovative ICT facilities company, has completed a project with Davilex, a leading financial software company, to move the IT infrastructure of its web-based administration software to TelecityGroup’s state-of-art Amstel Business Park Data centre. TelecityGroup met all of Devault and Davilex’s requirements, providing extensive technical expertise, comprehensive security certification including ISO 9001, 27001 and PCI DSS, and energy efficient infrastructure. Davilex expects to launch its portfolio of web-based administration software in 2010.

Devault is an ICT ‘utilities company’ whose mission is to make innovative, affordable back-office systems as easily available to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as water and electricity. Supported by a network of qualified partners, Devault offers its customers complete management of their ICT systems. Customers can opt to purchase standard integrated modules that are wholly online or to retain part of them on location; all of which are fully managed by Devault.

Davilex selected Devault to identify the most suitable data centre infrastructure for the web-based version of its financial administration suite. Devault had just completed a thorough selection strategy for its own hosting platform and found TelecityGroup to be far ahead of the competition. Marcel Vonk, joint founder of Devault commented: “In addition to meeting our stringent requirements for security and data centre quality, TelecityGroup added value from the start, recommending improvements to the original architecture that we were proposing.”

Ray van de Mortel, CEO at Davilex said: “It’s our objective to provide every business with a comprehensive insight into its bookkeeping and our web-based financial administration software is a big step in this process. However, our customers need assurance that their details will be absolutely secure. We chose Devault as a partner because of its knowledge of the ICT industry and the expert guidance it can offer. Devault designed suitable architecture, installed the infrastructure and made a platform available that satisfies the needs of our clients. For this, TelecityGroup’s accreditations are absolutely essential. Additionally, the fact that Amstel Business Park is one of the most energy-efficient data centres in the Netherlands matches our aim of doing business in the most environmentally-responsible way possible.”

Alexandra Schless, managing director of TelecityGroup Netherlands said: “Both Devault and Davilex have illustrated the web-based direction in which the ICT market is heading for small and medium sized companies. As a premium data centre provider, we are very proud to aid both Devault and Davilex in the expansion of their activities.”
