HIGH SPEED CONNECTION BETWEEN EASTERN EUROPE AND AMSTERDAM AT INTERXION

Schiphol-Rijk, 21 June 2017 – Interxion, a leading European provider of cloud and carrier-neutral data centre services, announces that RETN has established a Point of Presence (PoP) in one of Interxion’s Dutch data centres. With this agreement, RETN’s services are directly accessible to all Interxion customers in the Amsterdam area thanks to its campus model.

RETN is an international network service provider with an exceptionally strong presence in Eastern Europe, the Baltic States and CIS countries. The RETN network forms an essential part of the European Internet infrastructure with fibre optic routes spanning more than 29 countries and 3 continents.

All in all RETN is present in 7 Interxion data centres in Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich and Stockholm. The latter expansion to Amsterdam was both customer driven and a strategic decision, according to Andrey Gazizov, CTO at RETN Ltd.: “The Interxion data centre in Schiphol-Rijk is a perfect place to expand our network in Western Europe because of its location is in close proximity to one of the best connected cities in Europe. From a technical point of view, the Interxion facility is modern and highly secure, and it was a pleasure to work with their team which was highly responsive during the whole installation process. Looking to the future, we believe that the strong campus model of Interxion data centres will enable us to serve a big part of the full, vibrant community of companies providing them seamless direct access to our infrastructure and services.”

Michel van den Assem, Managing Director of Interxion Netherlands: “Due to RETN’s presence at our Schiphol campus, we strengthen our connectivity proposition with an impressive network that extends from Asia to North America. What makes RETN’s network special for us is its unique geographical coverage, in particular, in Eastern Europe, including Russia and some of CIS countries and the Baltics. Which means this will allow those customers wishing, for example, to operate on stock exchanges in Russia can now do that from our Dutch data centres. ”
