Savvis Partners with Bharti airtel to Launch its Industry Leading Managed Hosting and Cloud Services into India

Savvis expands its global reach to offer mission-critical enterprise cloud offerings in burgeoning market

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVSNews), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, and Bharti airtel Limited, a leading global telecommunications company, announced today the two have joined forces to launch a major new strategic managed hosting and cloud computing initiative in India.

The agreement will expand access to Savvis’ wide range of managed hosting and cloud services to enterprises operating in or expanding into India. Savvis will extend its infrastructure and service platforms in existing airtel data centers throughout India and establish local operations teams to support both local and global clients.

Savvis expects to begin the rollout of its services through airtel’s Bangalore data center in early 2011 with future expansion into other airtel data centers located in New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai.
