SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 19, 2011 — Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR, news, filings) today announced the appointment of Brad Brooks as vice president of worldwide enterprise marketing and solutions, reporting to Lauren Flaherty, executive vice president and chief marketing officer. A seasoned leader, Brooks joins Juniper from Microsoft, where he served as corporate vice president for Windows Consumer Marketing and Product Management.
“Brad is a superb global marketer with a track record of driving significant business growth,” said Flaherty. “His depth of experience aligns very well with our focus on accelerating the new network and I am thrilled we have Brad in this highly strategic role.”
Brooks will be responsible for developing and executing overall marketing strategies for the enterprise segment and defining go-to-market plans and roadmaps for Juniper’s vertical and horizontal solutions. He will lead the team responsible for Juniper’s global enterprise marketing programs, including the development of an integrated marketing plan for defining solutions, collateral and selling tools for the field, channels and customers.
Most recently at Microsoft, Brooks led the consumer business for the Windows client. In this role, he oversaw the launch of Windows 7, the most successful launch in Microsoft’s history. Prior to Microsoft, Brooks held product management, business development, marketing and sales roles at Lucent Technologies and AT&T. Early in his career, he worked as an intelligence analyst for the U.S. government.
